On Saturday, 21 March 2026, the BreathForDx project was presented during the World Tuberculosis Day (TB Day 2026) event organised by Stop TB Italy at the Accademia di Medicina in Turin. The event, titled “Ritorno a casa” (Return Home), brought together clinicians, researchers, institutions, and civil society representatives committed to strengthening the fight against tuberculosis through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The project was featured during the presentation delivered by Dr Francesca Saluzzo, entitled:
“Diagnosis of Tuberculosis Infection and Disease: Technology at the Service of People and Society”, included in the first scientific session dedicated to advances in tuberculosis diagnosis and future perspectives in TB management.
Contributing to the Fight Against Tuberculosis
Participation in TB Day 2026 provided an important opportunity to share the objectives and ongoing activities of BreathForDx with the wider scientific and public health community, and to engage with healthcare professionals and stakeholders working in tuberculosis prevention and care.
The event highlighted the continued need for innovation, collaboration, and awareness to address tuberculosis as a major global health challenge. In this context, BreathForDx contributes to advancing new diagnostic approaches and supporting efforts to improve access to timely and effective TB diagnosis.
