The BreathForDx project was featured during the first day of the 53rd National Congress of the Italian Association of Clinical Microbiologists (AMCLI), currently taking place in Rimini, Italy. The project and its innovative approach to respiratory sampling were presented within the session “La tubercolosi nel 2026: dalla ricerca alla diagnostica GLAMIC”, dedicated to recent advances in tuberculosis research and diagnostic strategies.
During the session, Dr. Francesca Saluzzo presented the BreathForDx initiative, highlighting the use of face masks for the collection of exhaled breath aerosol (XBA) as a non-invasive approach to support tuberculosis diagnosis. The session was moderated by Prof. Daniela Maria Cirillo.
Participation in scientific congresses represents an important opportunity to share ongoing project activities, engage with the clinical microbiology community, and promote innovative diagnostic solutions for respiratory infections.
Stay tuned for more updates on BreathForDx activities and progress.
